a free breakfest: Installation by Ida Lennarsson, Showna Kim, Carola Deye, InYoung Yeo: 'private is public',installation, dimensions variable, 2016 Galerie Bridget Stern im Kustllerhaur Faktor , Hamburg Germany

Picturing a breakfast table in Korea seems at best, confusing, maybe layered or possibly simple. The physical and mental spatial separation or integration between what is public and what is private is well represented on a free breakfast table offered to a guest? a stranger? family? or a friend. 'private is public' is an installation piece addressing invisible physically yet ironically enough, prominently visible borders drawn to unite yet again separate between private and public. The installation pieces <private> are mobile and immobile left for viewers <public> to openly interact with. 'private is public' not only addresses specifically Yeo's personal experiences in Korea of private and public spaces amalgamating into a blend of something 'new' but also further looks at the direction of our current society in its border issues, online privacies, protection, inclusion and exclusion.
