Born in Seoul, Korea, In Young Yeo moved to the U.S at age one and since then has lived in multiple cities in the US, Korea and the UK, traveling all the while. Always moving around, she struggled at first going into new schools, new homes and with that new challenges. Yet eventually she came to embrace the challenges and continuously seek for new experiences and new places, which cultivated her to become an individual with a unique perspective and vision.
With such multi cultural, multi disciplinary and bilingual background, In Young Yeo is an artist with a strong individuality. She works in multiple mediums from oil, watercolor, acrylic to printmaking. Her work deals with attempting to answer who and why we are. In her search for answers, she challenges to uncover the unseen, unheard and unspoken
